Code4Change 2026 is a 24-hour national-level hackathon hosted by KVCET in association with the Computer Society of India (CSI), bringing together creative minds, developers, and innovators to build software solutions aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
This hackathon challenges participants to design impactful digital solutions that promote sustainability, equity, and innovation across domains such as clean energy, health, education, smart cities, and environmental conservation. Over an intense 24-hour coding marathon, teams will ideate, prototype, and present their innovations to industry and academic experts.
The goal of Code4Change 2026 is to inspire students to leverage technology as a catalyst for positive transformation — coding not just for innovation, but for impact.
Inspire participants to develop technology solutions that address real-world challenges and create positive social impact.
Cultivate entrepreneurial mindset and help participants transform ideas into viable business solutions.
Bring together diverse talents and perspectives to create comprehensive solutions through teamwork.

Welcome address and event overview by organizing committee
Inspiring talk by industry expert on innovation and technology for social good
Official announcement of themes and challenge areas aligned with SDGs
Final team formation and start of brainstorming phase
Teams finalize their ideas and create project roadmaps
Refreshments and networking opportunity
Teams start coding and building their prototypes
Short break with refreshments
Intensive coding session with mentor support available
First milestone evaluation by mentors
Dinner and relaxation time
Extended coding session with technical support
Teams continue development through the night (rest areas available)
Morning refreshments to energize participants
Last hours for coding, testing, and bug fixes
Second milestone evaluation and guidance
Code cleanup, documentation, and presentation preparation
All projects must be submitted by this time
Break before presentation rounds
Teams present their solutions to the judging panel (10 mins each)
Short break during evaluations
Shortlisted teams present to grand jury
Final evaluation and winner selection
Prize distribution and recognition of winners
Vote of thanks and closing remarks
Mentors will be available throughout the event for technical guidance and support
