Dr. P. Kasinatha Pandian, Principal of Karpaga Vinayaga College of Engineering & Technology (KVCET), brings extensive expertise in civil and coastal engineering and a distinguished record in academic leadership. His visionary stewardship has guided KVCET to consistently deliver high-quality technical education, foster research and innovation, and cultivate future-ready engineers.
A prolific author and respected researcher, Dr. Pandian has been honoured with prestigious awards, including the Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Teaching Excellence and the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award, reflecting his remarkable contributions to engineering education and scholarly development.
Under his leadership, KVCET provides students with hands-on learning, industry engagement, and research opportunities, nurturing both professional competence and ethical responsibility. His approach inspires faculty and students alike to pursue innovation, academic excellence, and meaningful impact in society.
Dean
As Dean of KVCET, Dr. Subbaraj brings extensive expertise in Civil Engineering, including surveying, photogrammetry, remote sensing, GPS, and GIS, guiding the institution’s research and academic excellence. With over three decades at Anna University, he has nurtured a culture of research, innovation, and scholarly mentorship, supporting doctoral scholars and driving impactful projects.
His leadership extends beyond academia: he has successfully secured substantial government research funding and collaborated with esteemed institutions such as the Space Applications Centre (Ahmedabad) and ISRO, strengthening KVCET’s research capabilities. Additionally, he has contributed his expertise to the State Level Expert Appraisal Committee, Government of India, for three years, demonstrating commitment to national academic and technical standards.
Under his stewardship, KVCET continues to provide students with hands-on learning, industry exposure, and research opportunities, preparing them to become skilled, responsible, and innovative engineers.
Associate Dean (Academic & Research)
Dr. Sivakumar Kandhasamy is an expert in Biotechnology and Aquaculture, driving KVCET’s research and academic excellence. He has led projects funded by the Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) and ICMR, Government of India, and guided numerous Ph.D. and M.Phil. scholars.
He has organized national seminars, conferences, and workshops, fostering research innovation and collaboration. A prolific author and active participant in academic governance, Dr. Kandhasamy is dedicated to mentoring students and advancing scientific excellence.
Associate Dean (Accreditation & Placement)
Dr. S. Dinesh Kumar brings over 24 years of experience in academia, research, and accreditation. He has published 34 research articles, authored 3 textbooks, and holds 11 technical patents. He has successfully secured around ₹55 lakhs in research funding from agencies like DBT, AICTE, and DST, reflecting his commitment to advancing engineering knowledge and innovation.
As Associate Dean for Accreditation and Placement, he leads KVCET’s adherence to global and national standards including NBA, NAAC, and NIRF, ensuring academic programs meet the highest quality benchmarks. Under his guidance, the college has secured NBA accreditation for multiple engineering departments.
Dr. Dinesh Kumar is passionate about enhancing engineering education, mentoring students, and cultivating future leaders who excel professionally and contribute meaningfully to society and the environment.
